I had never seen a Japanese theatrical production before, and this left me completely breathless. Fujiwara and Shiraishi were truly captivating and I found myself craving more when the production was at an end, wondering what could possibly happen next. It really is a shame that Shintoku-Maru was only shown for those three days only because there truly was a demand for the wonderful performances that were displayed. Bravo is all I have to say!!! Although I am by no means fluent in Japanese, I was able to stay "in the story" after reading the synopsis. Fujiwara was truly excellent.
